Acsenda launches the Jumpstart Program
Acsenda School of Management is excited to announce the launch of the Jumpstart Program. This program is designed for international students who are currently outside of Canada, who are looking to jumpstart their educational journey and job search.
Through the official Jumpstart Program Discord server, prospective students (many of which who may be waiting for visa approval) can come together and participate in pre-study sessions that will help them find jobs in Canada and begin their studies.

Find jobs in Canada
Through the Jumpstart Program, you will be in direct contact with our Career Services Coordinator. Chat with them directly and they will help you find job opportunities prior to even arriving in Canada! This is a great chance for you to get a leg up on other international students who may also be looking for work.
Free trial classes
Students can register for free trial classes that are designed to familiarize them with Acsenda’s digital learning ecosystem. Attend classes, meet future professors and study with others who are in your same shoes.
Attend exclusive events
If you are in the Jumpstart Program, you will be notified of and gain access to exclusive digital events and seminars in real-time. These are sessions catered to students interested in studying in Canada, including tips on finding housing, budgeting and more!
Meet other international students
In the Jumpstart Program, you will be able to chat with prospective students like you, of which are from all over the world. We provide both text and voice channels. This is a great way to meet future classmates and help one another prepare for study abroad.

Once you have access to the Discord server, you will be able to chat, connect to voice channels, set up an appointments, register for free trial classes and even start lining up jobs in Canada! The process is super quick.
What is Discord and how to start using it?
In case you are not familiar with Discord or have not used it before, Discord is a free voice, video, and text app that is used by millions of people. It’s a place to hang out with friends and find communities.
Discord has tons of different servers from cooperative business to art, design, gaming, school and many other things. Usually, there are some public servers that you can join just by browsing the platform. However, there are others that are private and require you to have an invite link to join them. The Jumpstart Program is a private server.
Every server is managed by an administrator or a group of people in charge of maintaining the channel. This is to ensure the content is up-to-date and provides safe discussions. Each server has two different types of channels (chat and voice); there are some chat channels open for anyone that wants to talk, while there are some others just for rules, updates and use of administrators only. Meanwhile, the voice channels are usually open to everyone within the server.
To create an account on Discord, you need to register. You can do so from your browser or by downloading the app on your computer.
